This notice covers this website, burntandtoast.com, operated by Burnt & Toast Studios Ltd ("we", "us"). Our apps have their own, separate policies - for Dartistry, see dartistry.app/privacy.
The short version
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical request needed to serve you the page - your IP address, the time, the page requested, your browser type - and keeps it briefly in server logs for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics. We do not use it to build any profile of you, we do not combine it with anything else, and we cannot identify you from it. Cloudflare acts as our hosting provider (a data processor) in doing so.
We have deliberately not installed any analytics. We do not know how many of you are reading this, which is fine.
None. No cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Nothing is written to local storage or session storage.
The typeface (Inter, under the SIL Open Font License) is served as a file from this domain rather than from a font CDN, specifically so that loading this page does not disclose your IP address to another company. Links out to dartistry.app and to Google Play are ordinary links - nothing is requested from those sites until you click.
If you write to hello@burntandtoast.com we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Mail to that address is routed and stored by our email providers on our behalf. We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Under the UK GDPR, our lawful basis for the limited server-log processing described above is legitimate interests - keeping the site available, secure and working. For replying to your email, the basis is legitimate interests, or the performance of a contract where you are already a customer.
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to our processing of it, and to receive a copy. In practice, unless you have emailed us, we almost certainly hold nothing about you at all. To ask, email hello@burntandtoast.com.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone.
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no version history to dig through - the current page is the whole notice.
